We use extremely high tech fabrics to make our special exercise machine covers. All fabrics are anti-microbial (inhibit bacterial growth) and machine washable. How often the covers are washed is simply common sense based on club volume. Many owners have extra sets so there is always a clean set ready to go on the machines. All covers (except roller covers, which are "wicking") can be wiped down in between washings with plain warm water, just as you would wipe the original upholstery. No harsh chemicals or fabric softeners... its not necessary!
